Official statement about security changes by Gupshup.

Dear customers,

We want to inform you that Gupshup has decided to carry out an important security update that involves the renewal of the Api Keys of all the apps created on its platform. This change is scheduled to take place between December 22 and 23 of this year.

As a result of this update, all Gupshup providers configured in uContact will no longer work after this change. This will result in the temporary interruption of messaging through channels that use this provider.

Since this change involves accessing the Gupshup portal with the respective credentials, the detailed procedure to easily make this change is explained below:

  1. Go to https://www.gupshup.io/.

  2. Sign in with your account credentials.

  3. Hover the mouse over the profile image located in the upper right, a pop-up will be displayed, from where the API Key must be copied.

  4. Within uContact, you must go to Providers > SMS/WhatsApp and select the account to update and in the "password" section, you must paste the new API Key that we just copied.

  5. Finally, you must press the Save button and the service should be restored.
